1. Narendra Modi as prime minister will be heard talking to his countrymen and hostile neighbours. The Modi led government will not be stunned into silence unlike the Manmohan led government. We will hear a lot of cacophony in the days to come. This will give the country confidence that someone is in-charge. India is not a leaderless country.
2. Narendra Modi has been promising to get rid of policy paralysis and economic slow down that have crept into the system. It will be interesting to see how a Modi led government will go about fixing these two challenges.But corporate India has time and again thrown its weight behind Narendra Modi and it will not come as a surprise if Narendra Modi resorts to initial fireworks by announcing certain radical reforms to inspire confidence.
3. Since Narendra Modi is a champion of development, the new development projects will be launched and completed on a war footing.
4. Narendra Modi will brook no indifferences even in the coalition era. Sulking allies will have no place in his scheme of things. He would not like to be seen as someone who mollycoddles coalition partners to accommodate them. Instead he will set his expectations like a CEO in advance so that behind the closed door deals are not struck to save the government.
5. Narendra Modi as India’s prime minister will force Pakistan to behave because he has no Muslim vote bank to either nurture or protect. He will not think twice before giving a befitting reply.
6. The US will lift all the visa restrictions imposed upon Narendra Modi the prime minister of India. His entrepreneurial streak will help the US clinch mega business deals if Narendra Modi is impressed by ideas that bring profits to India.
7. China will be more cautious while dealing with a Modi led India. The Chinese goods are flooding the Indian markets and its businessmen are making heavy profits. The Chinese government will not want to jeopardise all this by indulging in any unnecessary acts of dare delivery.
8. Narendra Modi will inspire plenty of patriotism and nationalistic fervour. His regime will bring an end to dynastic centric politics, nepotism and crony capitalism.
9. Narendra Modi will not be soft on acts of terror and terrorism. He will empower the security apparatus with sweeping powers to crush terrorism.
10. Narendra Modi will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity where the enemies of the nation are shown their place, the hostile neighbours are kept in check and the business and its related activities are encouraged so that prosperity begets prosperity.
11. The grand Ram Temple at Ayodhya, treatment of the Muslims under a Modi led India and relations between the two major communities will be hotly debated topics. Narendra Modi’s premiership will invite hostile scrutiny from the media. But since he enjoys the common man’s immense popular support, his government will receive some bonus honeymoon period as well.
And even as the contentious issues grab the headlines, as promised Narendra Modi will plunge himself headlong into the work of nation’s development. It will be more work and less play. This is Narendra Modi and his eagerly awaited premiership for you.
